If there’s anything we’re known for it is our Arctic char, and we offer it year-round. For the uninitiated, Arctic char has a taste that is somewhere in between salmon and freshwater trout, but is less fatty and has a nice, sweet taste to it.
We can prepare Arctic char for you in four different ways, as a whole gutted fish, smoked, natural and fresh fillet, or as smoked frames, which are char back bone with tail that is smoked in the manner of Inuit tradition.

At Torngat Fish Co-op, we use modern vessels and employ proper at-sea handling. These methods ensure the best possible quality in the seafood we offer for sale in Happy Valley–Goose Bay.
